Mexican at Fresno

Fresno restaurant in East Hampton is now open seven days a week and offering a three-course $49 fixed price menu featuring regional Mexican dishes every Tuesday throughout the summer.

The appetizers include seared tuna tostada with jicama slaw and avocado cream; tortilla soup; crispy fish tacos with chipotle tartar sauce, and a wild mushroom quesadilla with corn salsa.

Main courses are grilled local fish with pineapple tomato basil salsa; chicken enchilada with rice and beans, and blue corn fried chicken with chopped salad. Dessert is a vanilla bean flan.

Bridget Fleming to Helm Bakery

South Fork Bakery has announced that Bridget Fleming, a Suffolk County legislator from 2016 through 2023 and most recently vice president at McBride Consulting and Business Development Group, has been named its executive director.

Based in Amagansett, the bakery is a nonprofit that provides meaningful employment to neurodivergent adults. Its mission extends to the training and placement of neurodivergent adults with employer partners in businesses throughout Suffolk County via Launch, its training and employment program.

Ferment This

Nadia Ernestus, a certified health coach who started Hamptons Brine in 2013, is leading two health food workshops at the Food Lab at Stony Brook Southampton College.

FermentEd: Garden to Brine, set for Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., will teach participants to make sauerkraut, pickles, and fermented hot sauce, and each will take home a jar of vegetables to ferment.

FermentEd: Sips and Spoonfuls will happen on June 29, also from 2 to 4. Kombucha brewing, homemade yogurt, and honey ferments will be explored, and participants will leave with a kombucha culture and yogurt starter culture.

The Food Lab is at 39 Tuckahoe Road in Southampton. The classes are free.

Tacos at Navy Beach

Taco Tuesdays will return to Navy Beach in Montauk on Tuesdays from noon to closing time. The options are mahimahi fish taco with mango salsa; miso-smoked pulled pork taco; lobster taco hand roll with sushi rice, nori, avocado, and Sriracha mayonnaise, and a shrimp tempura hand roll with the same accompaniments.

Drink specials will also be offered.

Catering Menu

Art of Eating in Bridgehampton has released its summer catering-to-go menu. The huge menu can be accessed on the website, where orders can be placed by Monday for pickup Thursday through Sunday.

A few of the options are little lobster rolls in a chiffonade of Green Thumb lettuce on a potato bun; caramelized sweet onion and gruyere cheese tart; Milk Pail apple and gruyere focaccia; summer rice paper rolls with crunchy organic vegetables, avocado, cabbage, organic microgreens, fresh herbs and rice noodles; grilled marinated prime filet of beef, and paella with mussels, clams, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo.
