Wine Class

Next up in the winter wine classes at Park Place Wines and Liquors in East Hampton is Demystifying Burgundy. Set for today at 6 p.m., the class will explore the nuances that make Burgundy special.

Light bites from the Cookery in East Hampton will include grilled beef with fresh horseradish; coq au vin with prunes; goat cheese, roasted apple, and cranberry en croute; grilled eggplant with yogurt and mint, and wild mushroom vegetable frittata.

Tickets are $45, and reservations can be made through the wine shop’s website. Tickets are nonrefundable.

Empty Bowls

Project Most has announced that its Empty Bowls fund-raiser will return to the Amagansett American Legion Post on Sunday from noon to 3. A bounty of soups made by local chefs will be available for tasting, while supporting Project Most’s programs for children and families. There will be a 50-50 raffle and live music, and takeout pints will be available.

Tickets at the door are $15 for adults, $8 for children 5 to 13, and free for those under 5. Takeout pints are $15, or $25 for two.
