Smokey Buns, the newest restaurant from the group that brought you Sen and K Pasa in Sag Harbor and Kumiso and Kizzy T’s in East Hampton, has opened at 68 Park Place in East Hampton, down the alley from Starbucks.

This year-round restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating, combines American flavors with modern twists, from a traditional smash burger to a blackened fishwich. The menu features various types of smash burgers starting at $9, as well as a selection of nearly 50 different bourbons and whiskeys, and ice cream for those with a sweet tooth.

Smokey Buns will also have options for those of the vegetarian persuasion, with meals like mushroom smash burgers and grilled halloumi wraps. There is also a cavalcade of patties, toppings, and sauces on top of daily specials including a jerk chicken sandwich on Tuesdays, a sandwich with hummus, cheddar carrots, and sprouts on Wednesdays, and a Thanksgiving-style sandwich on Thursdays. The most expensive food item on the menu is just $15 and fries are $5, $6 with cheese, and $11 with chili, cheese, and onions.

Smokey Buns is open from noon to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday. It will be open all year.
