Fried Chicken in Sagg
Loaves and Fishes food store in Sagaponack is getting a jump on summer, featuring the picnic classic and one of its favorite recipes, fried chicken.

The store will sell the cooked chicken this week. Its own recipe is in the store's cookbook for January, which features store favorites, for people who prefer to make it at home. The cookbooks are available at Loaves and Fishes or on its website.

A Rum Negroni
North Fork Table and Inn will serve a rum-based negroni cocktail in honor of Women's History Month in March. The smoked orange negroni has Mount Gay Eclipse rum, grapefruit bitters, simple syrup, pomegranate and lime juice, and other unusual ingredients.

The rum was created by Trudiann Banker, who became the company's first female master blender. It has "burnt notes of vanilla, banana, caramel, and summer fruit." The drink will only be available this month at the restaurant.
