Rosh Hashana Menus
The Art of Eating in Bridgehampton is offering a special catering menu for the Rosh Hashana holiday, which begins tomorrow. Appetizers include chicken soup with matzoh balls for $20 a quart, a pound of chopped liver with carrots and celery for $14, and a brie and pear quesadilla with wild plum sauce for $18. The entrees include three pounds of slow braised brisket with orange and preserved gremolata for $165, whole roasted filet mignon with green peppercorn sauce that will feed 8 to 12 for $225, and a whole roasted salmon stuffed with leeks and tomato compote with a lemon dressing and lemon dill sauce for approximately $275 depending on the size of the fish. Orders must be placed at least 36 hours in advance, and orders for Sunday by noon tomorrow. The full menu is on the Art of Eating website.

Nick and Toni's in East Hampton has two à la carte Rosh Hashana dinner specials available tomorrow through Sunday. An appetizer of shaved fennel, apple salad, and gorgonzola cheese in a muscadelle vinaigrette is $19, and a red wine braised brisket with honey glazed carrots and Yukon Gold potato kugel is $32. The dishes are also available for takeout.

L and W Market in Bridgehampton has a special takeout menu available on Friday and Saturday, and on Sept. 28 for Yom Kippur. A mezze platter of citrus-cured olives, beet hummus, lentil yogurt spread, eggplant walnut dip, whipped feta, and flatbread that will feed six to eight is $79. Matzoh ball soup for two to three is $15, a half pint of smoked bluefish paté is $15, and a half pint of chopped liver is $12. The entrees include red-wine-braised brisket for two to four for $59, or for six to eight for $105. A whole roasted chicken with rosemary, roasted garlic, and gravy for two to three is $35, and braised duck with parsnips, apricots, and cinnamon for two to four is $69. Orders for Rosh Hashana must be placed by noon two days in advance for pickup on Friday or Saturday between 4 and 5 p.m. Orders for Yom Kippur must be placed by noon on Friday, Sept. 26, for pickup between 4 and 5 p.m. on Sept. 28. Oktoberfest Begins
Rowdy Hall in East Hampton will offer weekly Oktoberfest food and drink specials starting Saturday through Monday, and continuing with new menu items through Oct. 4. This week, a $27 two-course prix fixe dinner includes an entree of wienerschnitzel with herbed spaetzle, and gold beets, and, for dessert, a black forest torte with cherry compote, whipped cream, and chocolate curls. Next Thursday through Sept. 28, the entree will be knockwurst, bratwurst, and bockwurst with German potato salad, sauerkraut, and mustard, and, for dessert, German butter pound cake with a lemon cardamom glaze, quark cream, and candied lemon. From Oct. 2, through Oct. 4, the entree is a smoked pork loin with a potato pancake, and warm applesauce, and the black forest torte for dessert. The restaurant will also offer a large Bavarian pretzel with mustard for $10, and $7 pints of Warsteiner Premium Pilsner, Spaten Oktoberfest, and Paulaner Hefe-Weizen.

Townline BBQ in Sagaponack will offer weekly Oktoberfest food and drink specials Saturday through Wednesday and Oct. 1 through Oct 4. This week, an entree of smoked bratwurst, German potato salad, and smoked onions is $18.50. Next Thursday through Sept. 30, smoked pork chop choucroute, sauerkraut, potatoes, onions, bacon, and whole grain mustard barbecue sauce costs $19.50. From Oct. 1 to Oct. 4, the special entree is smoked pork shank with maple sweet potatoes for $19. The restaurant is also offering a large Bavarian pretzel with mustard for $10, and the drink specials include a curated four-pack of Oktoberfest beers for $30.

Wolffer Wine Tastings
Wolffer Estate in Sagaponack is offering virtual wine tastings for groups of at least five people. A selection of wines will be shipped to participants, and a 45-minute tasting led by a Wolffer wine expert will be take place live on Zoom on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays at either 4 or 5:15 p.m. The cost is $150 for a tasting of cabernets, $165 for chardonnays, and $175 for a selection of the winery's White Horse wines. More Moby's
Moby's in East Hampton has added lunch service for onsite dining and takeout from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant is open for dinner Thursday through Monday from 5 p.m.

Dinner for a Cause
The Southampton Social Club is offering a special 10-course dinner benefit at 7 p.m. today. The cost is $600 for four people, $800 for six, and $960 for eight, including beverages, tax, and gratuity. A portion of the proceeds will go to All for the East End, a group that supports nonprofits, and Feed the Need, an effort to help the food insecure.

Summer shares are now available from Quail Hill Farm, one of the country's original community-supported agriculture farms. Family shares, for households of two or more people, and single-person shares as well, run from early June through Halloween, with picking two days a week, including unlimited flowers.
