Carissa’s Holiday Menu

Carissa’s Bakery in East Hampton is accepting orders until tomorrow for its holiday menu, which includes breads, homemade ice cream, and other desserts. An olive ciabatta loaf is $10, a baguette is $6, and pickled rye, honey oat, sourdough, and charcoal bread are $8 each. A pint of eggnog, chestnut, or vanilla ice cream is $12. A gingerbread layer cake with a mini gingerbread house is $125, a hazelnut bouche de Noel is $60, a cranberry pear meringue pie is $50, and a flourless chocolate cake is $55. Orders must be picked up by Christmas Eve.

 

Hanukkah Special

Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton will have à la carte dinner specials for Ha­nukkah on Sunday and Monday. An appetizer of potato latkes with smoked salmon and crème fraîche is $19, and a mustard braised short ribs entree is $39.

 

Christmas Eve Specials

The Maidstone in East Hampton will offer a three-course prix fixe dinner for $85 for adults, and $40 for children from 5 to 10:30 on Christmas Eve. The menu features appetizers such as roast chestnut soup and duck confit salad. The entrees include roast turkey with oyster stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean gratin, and cranberry relish; tenderloin of beef with horseradish cream, potato gratin, and asparagus, and roast stuffed porchetta with dried fruit, sweet potato puree, and brussels sprouts.

Almond in Bridgehampton will offer a special dinner of roast suckling pig with seasonal side dishes from 5 to 9:30 on Christmas Eve. The cost is $37, and a portion of the revenue will be donated to the Pajama Program, which provides new pajamas and books to needy children, many of whom are waiting to be adopted. The à la carte dinner menu will also be available. The restaurant will be closed on Christmas.

Rowdy Hall in East Hampton will have lunch specials on Tuesday including lobster bisque for $14, a smoked salmon and chive omelet for $18, and a lobster roll for $32. The restaurant will be closed for dinner that evening, and on Christmas.

The dinner specials at Nick and Toni’s on Christmas Eve will include an appetizer of grilled octopus salad for $19, and an entree of cioppino with lobster, Dungeness crab, and monkfish for $48. The restaurant will be closed on Christmas.

The Springs Tavern will hold an all you can eat pasta night from 5 to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

 

Christmas Day Specials

Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor will offer a three-course prix fixe dinner from 2 to 9 on Christmas. The menu features appetizers such as pork meatballs and oysters Rockefeller, and the entrees include maple ham with yams, braised greens, and corn bread; prime rib roast with charred broccoli, and striped bass with wilted escarole and onions. The cost is $74 for adults, and $28 for children. Kids three and younger can eat for free.

The Maidstone in East Hampton has a three-course prix fixe dinner for $120 for adults, and $40 for children from noon to 8 on Christmas. The entrees include a standing rib roast, salmon and scallops in a pastry crust, roast lamb loins, and a vegan tart with miso gravy.

 

Holiday Gift Cards

Almond has a gift card promotion through Christmas Eve. The purchase of a $100 gift card comes with a complimentary $20 card, and a $200 gift card comes with a $50 card. Cards can be purchased on the restaurant’s website with the code Almond2020.

At Smokin’ Wolf in East Hampton, those who purchase $100 worth of gift cards receive a free $20 card through Christmas Eve.

 

Boxing Day at Wolffer

Wolffer Estate in Sagaponack will hold a party with food, drinks, live music, and raffles from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. next Thursday, Dec. 26, Boxing Day. The raffle prizes include a tour of the estate and wine tasting for four people, two tickets to next year’s harvest party, and a chardonnay gift set.

Summer shares are now available from Quail Hill Farm, one of the country's original community-supported agriculture farms. Family shares, for households of two or more people, and single-person shares as well, run from early June through Halloween, with picking two days a week, including unlimited flowers.
