Michael Davidman will perform a program of music by Schubert, Albeniz, and Chopin at the Southampton Cultural Center.

Classical Piano

Michael Davidman, an award-winning American pianist, will perform at the Southampton Cultural Center on Saturday at 6 p.m. as part of the venue’s Liliane Questel Recital Series. The program will include Schubert’s Sonata in C minor, D. 958, and works by Albeniz and Chopin.

Winner of the 2025 American Piano Awards and the Christel DeHaan Fellowship at the University of Indianapolis, Davidman has played with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Monterey Symphony in Carmel, Calif., and has performed internationally in Spain, Italy, Russia, and France.

His other honors include first prizes at the Juilliard Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition and the New York International Piano Competition (Chamber Ensemble Division).

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, free for students under 21.

English Melodies

The Hamptons Festival of Music will bring “Echoes of England,” a program of pastoral British music, to four South Fork churches as part of its community outreach programs, starting next Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Springs Presbyterian Church.

Featuring the festival’s salon orchestra and Logan Souther, its associate conductor, the program will include “English Folk Song Suite” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Capriol Suite” by Peter Warlock, “Serenade for Strings” by Edward Elgar, and “St. Paul’s Suite” by Gustav Holst.

Subsequent concerts will take place Friday, May 29, at 7, at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Bridgehampton, and May 30 at 3 at Christ Episcopal Church in Sag Harbor and at 7 at St. Luke’s Church in East Hampton. Tickets to each performance are $40.

Souther and Garry Ianco, the assistant concertmaster. will also present the program on Wednesday to students from the Sagaponack School, Wainscott School, Amagansett School, Springs School, Project Most, and East Hampton High School.

Barton and Smith

Taylor Barton and G.E. Smith will be at Amagansett’s Stephen Talkhouse on Sunday at 7 p.m. to celebrate songs from Barton’s new EP, “The Cardinal,” which will be released tomorrow.

Among the five tracks on the EP are “Jack,” a true story told from the perspective of an ailing girlfriend who finds out her beloved has been killed in a senseless act of violence; “Take Me,” a romantic ode to lovers, and “The Cardinal,” which captures the dashed dreams and longings of a departed mate.

“This is a stellar collection of heartfelt songs I composed while navigating the difficult headlines,” the singer-songwriter wrote online. “I am for peace and no ego. How are we to survive if we take, take, take! Cheers.”

Produced by Barton and Smith, the EP features background vocals by Teddy Thompson and Jenni Muldaur.

Tickets to the Talkhouse performance are $50 to $70.

Concert on the Rock

Shelter Island Friends of Music will present a concert by Junction Trio on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the island’s Presbyterian Church. The group consists of Stefan Jackiw on violin, Conrad Tao on piano, and Jay Campbell on cello. The program will include works by Beethoven, John Zorn, and Dvorak.

Jackiw has appeared with orchestras in Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, and San Francisco. Tao, an Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and Gilmore Young Artist, is a composer as well as a pianist. Campbell, also an Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, has worked closely with many acclaimed contemporary composers.

Admission is free, but the group notes that donations to support future concerts would be appreciated.

Honor for Susan Wood

The archive of Susan Wood, a photographer and longtime Amagansett resident, has been acquired along with those of eight other artists by the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

An internationally published photographer and journalist and winner of many Art Director and Clio awards, Wood’s work has been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide. Through the 1970s and ‘80s, her photographs appeared in magazines such as Vogue, Life, People, and Look, which published her cover story on John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Wood also worked for 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, and United Artists and was the location photographer on the set of “Easy Rider.” The author of “Women: Portraits 1960-2000” and co-author of “Hampton Style,” her investigative reportage on medical malfeasance ran as a cover story in New York magazine.

Silent Disco

Guild Hall will host a silent disco dance party in its garden on Sunday from 8 to 11 p.m. D.J. Mister Lama will spin disco and funk tunes, ZiggaSun (Almond Zigmund) will drop hip-hop and rap, and Schvitz-a-Lot (Amy Kirwin) will blast danceable pop hits from the ’80s to today.

Tickets are $25. Wine, beer, cocktails, and snacks will be available for purchase from Louise and Howie’s coffee cart.
