“Curtis on Tour,” a Music for Montauk program of music from the Curtis Institute of Music, will be performed on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the East Hampton Presbyterian Church.

Located in Philadelphia, the Curtis Institute has educated and trained gifted young musicians since 1924. Students sharpen their craft through more than 200 orchestra, opera, and solo and chamber music offerings each year, along with collaborative projects within the community.

Embracing the institute’s “learn by doing” philosophy, “Curtis on Tour” ensembles provide emerging artists an opportunity to perform with celebrated alumni and faculty. For 15 years, the initiative has given more than 450 concerts in over 120 cities, from New York to Berlin, Hong Kong, and Santiago, Chile.

The performers Tuesday are Katie Trigg, a mezzo-soprano, Elissa Lee Koljonen, a violinist, Hanchien Lee, a pianist, and Roberto Diaz, the institute’s president and a violist. The program will include compositions by Manuel de Falla, Johannes Brahms, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Christoph Willibald Gluck, George Gershwin, Robert Schumann, and Benjamin Britten.

Tickets are $25 at musicformontauk.org or at the door.
