LTV Studios’ Hamptons Summer Songbook by the Sea will feature “Broadway and Beyond,” a performance by Liz Callaway, an actress, singer, and recording artist, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

An Emmy Award-winner and Tony and Grammy nominee, Ms. Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along,” won acclaim as Grizabella in “Cats,” and starred in the original casts of “Miss Saigon,” “The Three Musketeers,” and “The Look of Love.” Off Broadway, she received a Drama Desk nomination for her performance in “The Spitfire Grill.”

Her film credits include Jasmine in the two “Aladdin” sequels and “The Rewrite” with Hugh Grant, and she sang the Oscar-nominated song “Journey to the Past” in the animated feature “Anastasia.” Her concert and symphony career has taken her to London, Paris, Iceland, Spain, Australia, China, and throughout the United States.

Ms. Calloway has released eight solo albums, the most recent of which, “To Steve With Love: Liz Callaway Celebrates Sondheim,” was nominated for a 2023 Grammy Award for the best traditional pop vocal album.

“Broadway and Beyond” will feature songs from her performance on the Great White Way, “Journey to the Past,” and others from her recording career. In a review of her recent appearance at 54 Below, Stephen Mosher wrote in Broadway World, “The possessor of one of the most distinctive voices in the industry, Ms. Callaway has taken that voice and her talents for acting and storytelling and built an industry for herself and a following for her art that any performer would dream of.”

Tickets are $60 in advance, $65 at the door, $100 for cocktail table seating and a drink.

The McIver Piano Jazz Series, intimate evenings of music and conversation with a piano virtuoso in the LTV piano lounge, will bring Phil Markowitz to Wainscott on Sunday at 6 p.m. A jazz pianist, composer, and educator, Mr. Markowitz was raised in East Hampton and graduated in 1970 from East Hampton High School. "This is a bit of a homecoming for me," he told The Star.

He gained recognition in 1979 performing with Chet Baker, and went on to work with Dave Liebman, Bob Mintzer, and Al Di Meola. As a bandleader he has released six albums. He leads his own trio, as well as a quartet and duo with the violinist Zach Brock.

He has had residencies in major conservatories and universities throughout the world, and is a professor in the graduate and doctoral divisions of the Manhattan School of Music.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $35 for a cafe table seat with a drink ticket, and $10 for those with student identification.

This article has been modified from its original and print versions to include Phil Markowitz's East Hampton background.
