Party at the Temple

The HooDoo Loungers, known for their mix of classic soul, New Orleans swing, and bayou funk, will ring in the new year at Sag Harbor’s Masonic Temple on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The band’s website cites the Gris-Gris of Dr. John and the rock-and-roll of Fats Domino as sources of inspiration.

In a review of the band’s 2022 album “So Beautiful,” David van der Merwe cited their “jazz-street-funk mashup sound [and] their respectful reworking of Americana roots classics.”

Doors will open at 7:30, when a cash bar and light refreshments will be available. Dancing has been encouraged, and tickets, which are $40, can be secured from the temple’s website.
