Comedy at Guild Hall
Eitan Levine, a comedian and writer who has appeared on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” “The Daily Show,” “Access Hollywood,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” will bring his comedic storytelling to Guild Hall on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
Known for his quick wit and observational humor, Mr. Levine has performed at the Asheville Comedy Festival, the Milwaukee Comedy Fest, the Motor City Comedy Fest, the Baltimore Comedy Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival, among others. He has also written for The New York Times, New York Magazine, and Reader’s Digest, and collaborated on campaigns with Nike, Red Bull, and TruTV.
At 5 p.m., before the show, a pop-up Hanukkah will be presented by Rabbi Josh Franklin, Cantor Debra Stein, and the Jewish Center of the Hamptons in Guild Hall’s Boots Lamb Education Center.
Music at the Temple
“NYC Spirits,” a jazz concert presented with Hamptons JazzFest, will take place at Sag Harbor’s Masonic Temple Friday evening at 7. The performers are Ada Rovatti, saxophone; Jason Maximo Clotter, bass; Andrew Wagner, trumpet; Gary Fisher, piano, and Claes Brondal, the M.C., on drums.
Doors will open at 6:30, when food from Tapovana Lunch Box will be available for purchase. Concert tickets are $20.
Also at the temple, Whatever Lola Wants, an East End-based trio whose repertoire ranges from Ella Fitzgerald to Cyndi Lauper, will perform cheerful holiday music on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Band members are Lola Lama, vocals; Matthew Brand, keyboards, and Dylan Hewett, bass. Tickets are $20.
Sticks and Stones
The Sticks and Stones Comedy Club returns to the Southampton Cultural Center Friday at 8 p.m. with a show headlined by Olga Namer, a New York City-based comedian and actor.
Raised in Brooklyn in an orthodox Jewish home, Ms. Namer was married at 17 and divorced by 20, a “long story” that will be part of her set. Inspired in part by Sarah Silverman and Larry David, her comedy has been described as “funny, honest, authentic, and sarcastic” by L’Etage magazine. A regular performer in clubs around the city, she won the Ladies of Laughter Competition in 2018 and has toured with Chelsea Handler.
Tickets are $35, $50 for reserved seating, $70 for top-tier seats. Doors open at 7:30.
The Talkhouse
The Cherry Bombs, a female-centric, multigenerational rock band that plays 1980s new wave, rock, and pop hits, will give their final performance of 2025 at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett on Saturday at 8 p.m. The band members are Lola Lama, vocals; Yuka Silvera, bass; Mila Tina, drums; Nika Nesgoda, cello and guitar; Matthew Brand, keyboards, and Christopher Walsh, guitar.
Tickets are $30.
Virtual Book Group
The winter book group of the Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons will meet via Zoom on Saturday morning at 11. Many of the books covered can be found in the alliance’s LoGerfo Library at the Bridgehampton Community House, which is open to nonmembers as a reading room; members can check out books.
This month’s books are “Roses in the Garden” by Ngoc Minh Ngo, presented by Carleen Borsella; “Hot Plants for Cool Climates: Gardening With Tropical Plants in Temperate Zones” by Susan R. Roth and Dennis Schrader, presented by Derek Scolpino, and “The Backyard Parables: Lessons on Gardening, and Life” by Margaret Roach, presented by Laurie Gibbs.
