At 7 p.m. on Thursday, students and a faculty member from the Curtis Institute of Music will perform an evening of music at the East Hampton Presbyterian Church featuring works by three institute alumni, Leonard Bernstein, Samuel Barber, and Ned Rorem, as well as Schubert’s “The Shepherd on the Rock.”

The Music for Montauk concert is a part of an institute initiative called Curtis on Tour. The performers are Sarah Han on clarinet, Ying Li on piano, and Sophia Hunt, a soprano. They will be joined by Roberto Diaz, a violist and the institute’s president.

The institute is based in Philadelphia. A release called the tour an example of its “learn by doing” philosophy, one that has taken students to 450 concerts in 120 cities, in this country and abroad.

Tickets are $25 and can be bought online at musicformontauk.com or at the door.

Say Cheese (or Caviar), Day or Night

Self Provisions, a storefront attached to Cavaniola’s Gourmet Cheese in Sag Harbor, is “always open,” as is proclaimed by an illuminated sign on the wall at the entrance. Two large, brightly lit vending machines dominate the space, with offerings ranging from sea salt crackers and slabs of French butter to jars of caviar and curated gift boxes — and, of course, cheese.
