The East End Underground broadcast series, now airing on multiple New York platforms, was developed by LTV Studios in Wainscott to focus on the region’s composers, vocalists, ensembles, bands, and singer-songwriters.

The Cherry Bombs will kick off the weekend on Friday at 8 p.m. with an ‘80s Dance Party. The almost-all-girl band will perform new wave, rock, and pop hits from that decade that LTV says will make audiences want to dance all night.

The band consists of Yuka Silvera, bass/backup vocals; Nika Nesgoda, cello; Mary Goebel, keyboards; Vanessa Lynah, lead vocals; Andrea Chesley, lead vocals; Christopher Walsh, guitar, and Emma Silvera, percussion/trumpet. The evening will also feature Mila Tina, a drummer and martial artist, in a solo turn.

Tickets are $30, $65 for cafe seating.

An Evening with Lina Maxine will happen Sunday at 7:30. Ms. Maxine, a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, teamed up with Dean Aladay, a producer and guitarist from London, to shape their alternative sound, rooted in rock and pop.

After touring across Britain in 2022 supporting Kasabian’s frontman, Ms. Maxine and Mr. Aladay relocated to Montauk, where they wrote, produced, and released their first EP, “You’re My Only Friend,” in June 2023.

Tickets cost $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and $45 for cafe seating.

East End Underground will partner with Hamptons Jazz Fest for a performance by Michael Wolff on Monday at 6 p.m.

Mr. Wolff, a jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader, has played with such jazz luminaries as Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hancock, Nancy Wilson, and Cal Tjader. He had a five-year run as the musical director and bandleader for Arsenio Hall’s late-night TV talk show.

After a fight with cancer that almost took his life, Mr. Wolff has rebounded with “Memoir,” his first new album in four years, set for release on Aug. 2. The 11 tracks also feature Ben Allison on bass and Allan Mednard on drums.

Tickets are $15, $20 at the door.

The Sweet Smell of Nostalgia at Sagaponack General

Stepping into the new Sagaponack General Store, which reopened yesterday after being closed since 2020, is a sweet experience, and not just because there’s a soft-serve ice cream station on the left and what promises to be the biggest penny candy selection on the South Fork on your right, but because it’s like seeing an old friend who, after some struggle, made it big. Really, really big.
