Michael Moore, seen here in his debut film, "Roger & Me," will he honored at this year's Hamptons Doc Fest.

Tickets are now on sale for the 17th annual Hamptons Doc Fest, which will screen 32 films from Dec. 5 through Dec. 11 at the Sag Harbor Cinema and Bay Street Theater.

The opening night film, set for Dec. 5 at 8, will be "Merchant Ivory," Stephen Soucy's 2023 documentary about the illustrious filmmaking team of Ismail Merchant, producer, and James Ivory, director, whose 44 films, made between 1961 and Merchant's death in 2005, earned 30 Academy Award nominations and six wins. A photograph of the duo has been selected for the festival's program cover and its posters.

The festival has also announced that this year's Pennebaker Career Achievement Award will be given to Michael Moore, the Oscar-winning filmmaker, at a Dec. 7 Bay Street reception starting at 6:30 p.m. His debut film, "Roger & Me," will be shown after the award presentation.
