Sheeran at Talkhouse? Play On

Mon, 07/24/2023 - 16:18

The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will perform at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett on Aug. 14, in the latest installment of SiriusXM satellite radio's private concerts at the intimate venue.

Mr. Sheeran will perform music from his latest album as well as other fan favorites, according to the broadcaster. The concert will air across multiple SiriusXM channels starting on Sept. 1 at 9 p.m. and be available on the SXM app.

No tickets will be sold. Rather, SiriusXM subscribers and those participating in a trivia game and solving its clues will be eligible to win tickets. Information on the trivia game is on the SiriusXM website.

Previous artists to play the Talkhouse for SiriusXM subscribers include Coldplay, Dave Matthews, Mumford and Sons, the Killers, Brandi Carlile, and Dwight Yoakam.

"SiriusXM does this and we love them for it," a busy Peter Honerkamp, an owner of the Talkhouse, said last week. "We're grateful to Sirius."

In a statement accompanying the announcement, Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM's president and chief content officer, said, "We couldn't be more excited that Ed Sheeran, one of the top artists in the world, will step away from his tour playing stadiums to present an intimate show for SiriusXM at Stephen Talkhouse, a truly iconic venue. This will be a one-of-a-kind experience for the lucky fans in attendance and to our listeners nationwide."
