An Equity Casting Call for Bay Street's Summer Season

Tue, 01/31/2023 - 11:51

On Saturday, Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor will hold Actors' Equity auditions for principal roles for its upcoming season of theatrical productions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the theater. Scott Schwartz, Bay Street's artistic director, and John Sullivan, the associate producer, will be on hand.

Male and female actors are needed for a variety of roles (a full breakdown is here). Performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, abilities or exceptionalities, and body types are encouraged to apply, and those with local housing are strongly encouraged to attend. In addition to the genders listed in its character breakdowns, Bay Street is seeking transgender and nonbinary performers for all roles.

Actors should prepare a contemporary monologue no longer than two minutes. Those demonstrating singing skills should prepare 16 bars of a contemporary or classical musical theater song. No pop or rock songs will be considered.

The theater is also seeking applications for stage managers for the season, and they can be submitted here.
