Inspired by 'Blue Boy'
"Django Unchained" is Quentin Tarantino's 2012 revisionist Western starring Jamie Foxx as a Black slave freed by a German dentist-turned-bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz in an Oscar-winning turn), in exchange for helping him track down three outlaws.

The Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in Springs will screen the film, which earned Mr. Tarantino an Oscar for best original screenplay, Friday at 7 p.m. as part of its "Art Goes to the Movies" series. Thomas Gainsborough's painting "The Blue Boy" was the inspiration for the blue velvet suit worn by Mr. Foxx's character.

Blossom Sustainable Development, located in the Shinnecock Territory, is a team of counselors committed to providing hope, wellness, and healing to the community. A panel discussion exploring the issue will precede the screening.
