The tail end of an online benefit art auction is part of a weekend of activities tied to the Eastville Community Historical Society.

Through Tuesday, the Superposition Gallery is holding an online art sale to raise money for the society's archival collections. Artists participating are Ryan Cosbert, Larissa de Jesus Negron, Eilen Itzel Mena, Michael Butler, Java Jones, Haleigh Nickerson, Jessica Bellamy, Audrey Lyall, Bryan Fernandez, Esteban Whiteside, Chinaedu Nwadibia, Marcus Leslie Singleton, and Reva Santo.

The auction is happening through Artsy, and banners of the artwork have been placed in the Eastville Cemetery and the Heritage House grounds. The event, which marks the third anniversary of the gallery, is being held in honor of SANS Sag Harbor, the neighborhood composed of the Sag Harbor Hills, Azurest, and Ninevah subdivisions, and Preservation Long Island. The money raised will also support a permanent exhibition section in the Heritage House.

On Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m., a collective of artists and writers in the SANS area will launch a free outdoor show at 56 Beach Avenue in Sag Harbor Hills featuring their work, which will be available for purchase. Sales will benefit the historical society. The rain date is Sunday.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day, the historical society will have a program dedicated to the group of African men who captured control of the schooner Amistad from their Spanish enslavers. Tickets are $10 and available through Eventbrite.

A Sense of Community: A Teach the Truth Day of Action is set for Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Readings of oral histories, call-and-response songs, and a walk through the community are part of the program. Donations are requested. J.L.

A Renewed Focus on Fresh Fish

Dock to Dish, a restaurant-supported fishery cooperative founded in Montauk in 2012, has new owners and a renewed focus on getting fresh-from-the-boat seafood directly into the kitchens of restaurants across the East End and the New York area. And the fact that most of the owners are also fishermen doesn’t hurt.
