Talkhouse Happenings
Hot Lava will play at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett on Saturday at 8 p.m., with tickets costing $10 to $40. Zachary Williams of the Lone Bellow will perform on Tuesday, also at 8, for $15 to $40. Inda Eaton and Nancy Atlas will perform on Wednesday at 7 p.m., with tickets costing $10 to $50. Looking ahead, the HooDoo Loungers will be at the Talkhouse on May 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $10 to $35. A show Friday with the Groove Kings, featuring the guitarist, author, and educator Andy Aledort, is sold out.

Playing in Sag
At Baron's Cove in Sag Harbor, Steve Shaughnessy will perform Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, same time, it's Chris Tedesco. Alfredo Merat is Sunday's performer, also 6 to 9 p.m. There is no cover.

This Week's Jam
The Jam Session is once again recording new performances, still without an audience, for later broadcast on WLIW. The April 25 recording of the Santi Debriano Flash of the Spirit Band will air on Sunday from 8 to 9 p.m. Dara Factor One, a tribute to 1970s and '80s fusion -- think Weather Report, Pat Metheny, Mahavishnu Orchestra -- recorded a performance on Sunday. It will air on May 16. Looking ahead, the Oscar Feldman Quartet will record on Sunday for airing on May 23.

Stepping into the new Sagaponack General Store, which reopened yesterday after being closed since 2020, is a sweet experience, and not just because there’s a soft-serve ice cream station on the left and what promises to be the biggest penny candy selection on the South Fork on your right, but because it’s like seeing an old friend who, after some struggle, made it big. Really, really big.
