Thu, 06/11/2026 - 11:13

East Hampton Village police arrested a Middle Island man last week who they say stole over $10,000 from his former employer.

Timothy Graf, 44, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief,  a felony. In April, the owner of Pool Details in East Hampton had accused him of using a company credit card from last November to March to purchase personal items totaling $11,447.

According to the report, Mr. Graf used the card, which he’d been given to use during the workday for gas and pool parts, across Suffolk County on food and gift cards. He has since been fired.

Police called Mr. Graf to request he turn himself in, which he did last Thursday. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Town Justice Court on July 22.
