Hit by a Car on Three Mile Harbor Road

A local man was struck by a 2024 Porsche as he was walking south along Three Mile Harbor Road on the night of July 19.

According to East Hampton Town police, Scott Lester of East Hampton, 55, had "stumbled off a grassy, sloped shoulder" into the roadway, where the Porsche, driven by Jamie Nariguanga of East Hampton, 61, hit him.

Mr. Nariguanga stayed with Mr. Lester while they waited for the police to arrive. Mr. Lester was taken to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital to be treated for a wound to his forehead and pain in his hip.
