Liquor Licenses: All Good

Thu, 04/27/2023 - 10:28

Police officers conducted routine liquor-license checks of bars, restaurants, and liquor stores in Montauk, Springs, and East Hampton over the last two weeks, finding that all had up-to-date documentation.

The Montauk Market, on Springs-Fireplace Road in Springs, was advised on April 16 to post its certificate in an approved frame within view of customers. The newly opened restaurant Maverick’s, in Montauk, got the same directive on Sunday.

Other checks were conducted at Sant Ambroeus, Sam’s Beverage, The Palm at the Huntting Inn, East Hampton Grill, O by Kissaki, Cove Hollow Tavern, and Stop and Shop in East Hampton, and at Finest Kind Wines and Liquors, Shagwong Tavern, The Dock, The Point, The Montauket, 668 The Gig Shack, Alimentari Beach, and Naturally Good Foods in Montauk. All were in compliance.

Volunteers Answer the Call of Duty

“No one wants to get out of bed, having just climbed in. And it’s a really cold night, and it’s windy, and everything else — but you know that everyone else will be feeling the same, and so you go anyway. Everyone jumps in their cars and drives there, and then you deal with whatever is going on.”
