Head-On Crash in Wainscott

Thu, 04/28/2022 - 10:29

Around dinnertime on April 18, Leidy Esquivelvergel of East Quogue, 32, was headed east on Montauk Highway near Sayre’s Path in Wainscott when her 2007 Honda crossed the double yellow lines into the westbound lane, and crashed head-on into a 2007 Toyota driven by 19-year-old Bryam Munoz-Albarracin of Mastic.

Ms. Esquivelvergel told East Hampton Town police she didn’t know what had happened or why. A witness, Jonathan Alzate, saw the accident and was able to describe it to police. Ms. Esquivelvergel complained of chest pain and was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for treatment. Both cars were towed by Bonac Buy and Sell.

It Was S.U.V. on S.U.V.

On June 23, a Subaru S.U.V. rear-ended a Toyota S.U.V. at Carl Fisher Plaza in Montauk. That evening, two other S.U.V.s collided in Wainscott and had to be towed away. And more news of the roads.
