Former PTA Official Charged

A Sag Harbor woman, Maureen O’Leary Cussen, was arrested earlier this month on a felony charge of grand larceny.

Southampton Town police said that Ms. O’Leary Cussen, 55, formerly the treasurer of the Southampton Intermediate School’s parent-teacher association, stole over $15,000 worth of PTA money between February 2018 and October 2020.

She was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court on Feb. 2 and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on March 29.
