Two Accidents With Injuries

Wed, 10/19/2022 - 18:09

East Hampton Town police reported two traffic accidents involving injuries last week, both in Springs.

Kenneth Rogoski of East Hampton was driving his 2006 Mazda on Springs-Fireplace Road near Higbee Place last Thursday night when, he told police, a Jeep Suburban stopped short ahead of him, causing a rear-end collision. The Jeep’s driver, Delia Yupa-Buestan, also of East Hampton, explained that she had hit the brakes to avoid hitting a car in front of her. She sustained an arm injury and was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for evaluation.

Dennis Kromer said he did not see a 2015 Lexus driven by Nicole O’Brien during rush hour on Oct. 11, as he was turning right onto Springs-Fireplace Road from Copeces Lane. His 2007 Ford pickup struck the Lexus, causing minor damage to both vehicles. Ms. O’Brien complained of neck pain, but declined on-site medical attention and said she would seek care privately. Both drivers are residents of East Hampton.
