Wed, 11/26/2025 - 13:07
Jane Bimson

The annual Lighting of the Lighthouse, involving thousands of lights, happens on Saturday from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

Fred W. Thiele Jr., a former state assemblyman, will be honored for his long government service, and Sarah Conway and the Playful Souls will lead a singalong of holiday tunes as those attending await the lighting, which will take place around 5:15. Hot chocolate from Hamptons Coffee will be served, and donations will be appreciated.

Santa will make an appearance atop the Lighthouse tower, returning on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to pose for pictures and hear children’s wishes. Hamptons Coffee’s hot chocolate will once again be served, along with cookies from the Montauk Bake Shoppe.
