Unlicensed on the Roads

Thu, 07/29/2021 - 11:53

East Hampton Town police stopped three allegedly unlicensed drivers last week, two in Montauk and the third in East Hampton.

Schuyler Bell of Chichester, N.Y., was charged on July 21, the day before his 25th birthday, on South Elder Street in Montauk. Robert Cuevacalle of Springs was charged the afternoon before on Springs-Fireplace Road, and C. Sierra-Esteban of Riverhead was booked on Montauk Highway, also on July 21.

All three will appear in East Hampton Justice Court on Aug. 4.

In Sag Harbor, lack of legal registration was the problem for three other drivers, who were pulled over after being flagged by police license plate scanners. They were Adam Escobar of Southampton, who was stopped at the intersection of Hampton Street and Meredith Avenue; Luis Guerrero Orellana of Sag Harbor, on Route 114, and Huillan Pillco of East Hampton on Ferry Road, North Haven.

That trio will be arraigned tomorrow in Sag Harbor Village Court.
