A 2005 Nissan Ultima parked outside a house on Richardson Avenue was broken into early Friday morning. Kerri Hammer told police she heard the car alarm sound at about 4 a.m. and then stop. Later that morning she found that the driver’s-side window was open a few inches and that someone had apparently used a branch to reach in and unlock the door. Missing from the car was a metal box with some personal documents.
