1/7/1939 - 7/31/2026

Paid Notice: It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Betty Lou King, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, who died peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 31, 2026.

Betty was born on January 7th, 1939, in Ronceverte W.Va. However, she made East Hampton her home for over 70 years!

She was the proud bookkeeper for the family business, Dick’s Plumbing & Heating.

She had a strong love for her family. She enjoyed baking lemon pound cakes and goodies for her friends, playing Texas Hold’em, cheering her son-in-law’s softball team, and frequenting John Papas Café.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. King. She is survived by her children: Jack (Jean) and Susette (Doug); her grandchildren: Stephanie (Brad), Courtney, Allie (Aaron), and Cullen; her great grandchildren: T.J., Savannah, Harper, and Riley; and sisters: Rosalia, Nelli, and Cathy.

A private internment will be held at a later date
