The family of Devin Brevard will receive visitors on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Mr. Brevard, who was 29 and had attended school in Montauk and Bridgehampton, died on Sept. 25 in Albany. Visiting hours will also take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in East Hampton before Mr. Brevard’s funeral service at noon. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery in Montauk.

Mr. Brevard’s grandmother Sarah Malone has set up a GoFundMe account that can be found by searching his name. An obituary will appear in a future issue.

This weaver’s account book was kept by Benjamin Parsons, who began recording business transactions in 1794. His father was one of 49 weavers in East Hampton who signed the 1778 Loyalty Oath to the British.
