Dec. 13, 1930 - Oct. 9, 2024

Christine Yuska Cullum, a native of East Hampton, died on Oct. 9 from complications after a fall. She was 93.

For 27 years, Ms. Cullum worked at AHRC Suffolk, a service for developmentally challenged adults and children, in Westhampton Beach.

She cherished time with her great-grandchildren, Harry and Sam, and enjoyed animals, practical jokes, volunteering, and reading.

Ms. Cullum was born here on Dec. 13, 1930, to Paul and Stella Yuska, who were immigrants from Lithuania. She attended East Hampton High School, and on Nov. 12, 1950, she married Harry Cullum. They made their home on Oakview Highway. He died in 1997.

They had two children, Donna Cullum, who lives in Longmont, Colo., and Sondra Lynn, who died before her. She leaves one grandchild, Rya Pagliughi.

Ms. Cullum donated her body to the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University "as one final act of volunteerism," her family said.

A celebration of her life is planned for early next summer.

Memorial contributions have been suggested to Lucia's Room at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, in care of Lucia's Angels, 71 Hill Street, Building F, Suite 4A, Southampton 11968.
