The Old Montauk Athletic Club's Montauk Mile race happens on Sunday morning, rain or shine.

Check-in and bib pickup will be at Lion's Field starting at 9:30. Races begin near the firehouse on Flamingo Avenue and end near Lion's Field, with the men setting off at 10:30 and the women at 11. Proceeds from the entry fees of $33.80 for adults or $18.28 for runners under 21 will go to OMAC's scholarship fund and will also pay for an East Hampton High School varsity cross-country trip to an invitational in the fall.

All finishers 21 and over will get a free pint from the Montauk Brewery. There's also $300 each in prize money for the top male and top female finishers, trucker hats for the first 75 to finish in each race, and awards for the top two finishers in each age group. Dogs will not be allowed on the course. Registration is at by clicking here. A free run for kids 6 and under will follow the women's race.
