For John Jay Sayers Jr.

Thu, 07/08/2021 - 11:55

A celebration of life for John Jay Sayers Jr., who died on April 12, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on July 18 at the West Sayville Firehouse at 80 Main Street.

Dr. Sayers, 78, a chiropractor who served the Oakdale community for many years at his practice and as a firefighter and volunteer for many organizations, was a part-time Montauk resident. His family has invited "friends, colleagues, and patients to join them" at the service on July 18. "Nothing brought him greater joy than treating the people of his community," they wrote, adding that they "will take great comfort in connecting with those he served."
