“I can tell you — from long experience — that I have never questioned the veracity, the efficiency, and the effectiveness of the board of elections. They have always done a great job,” Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine said on Friday as he and other county officials unveiled a new $2.8 million Early Voting Training Center in Yaphank that will be used as a training space for poll personnel, including those in East Hampton.
In celebration of its 20th year offering dance and art education for children, teens, and adults, the A&G Dance Company has kicked off a campaign to raise a $20,000 endowment. Two of the goals, the company owners said this week, are to offer more scholarships to families facing financial difficulties and to boost the adaptive dance and art programs for adults and kids with special needs.
An East Hampton man was charged with driving while intoxicated on the night of Oct. 21, his fourth drunken-driving charge in the past 15 years, a class-D felony.
