Membership applications are available for the newly opened pool at Suffolk County Community College's Northampton campus. The competitive-size pool, the East End's largest indoor, heated aquatic facility, is open to the public daily, with evenings and weekend hours. 

“The new facility promotes a critically important health and fitness focus for the students and the community at large,” said Legislator Bridget Fleming.

Suffolk County officials have scheduled opioid overdose prevention classes across the county over the next month, including in East Hampton on Oct. 7.

The woman accused of shooting her child's father inside their Flanders home and then taking off with their 3-year-old, causing police to issue an Amber Alert, was the victim of domestic abuse, her criminal defense attorney claims. 

Patchita Tennant, who worked in East Hampton, has been charged with two felonies in the shooting of her 3-year-old child's father in Flanders.
