An accident next to the 1770 House in East Hampton Village on Friday claimed the life of a local man.
Ralph Scott Barter of East Hampton, a member of the village’s Department of Emergency Medical Service for 15 years, died of lung cancer on April 4. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery on Cedar Street.
Shortly after Kathy Masterson, East Hampton’s athletic director, announced her retirement last month, the Lululemon store on Main Street started plotting a way to thank her for all she’s done for the community.
Five East Hampton High Schoolers competed in the State Science and Engineering Fair in Queens on March 30, presenting projects on topics ranging from leaf development in butterhead lettuce to ocean wave growth measurements in hurricane-force winds.
