East End Cares and the Clamshell Foundation, a long-running East Hampton charity, have collected $126,000 in donations since March, with $70,000 from the Citarella grocery stores in Southampton, Bridgehampton, and East Hampton.

In an initial review of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital's proposal to build an emergency room annex and diagnostic center in East Hampton, members of the East Hampton Town Planning Board voiced concerns about the facility's impact on traffic flow, the placement of a Medevac helipad, and the possibility of "mission creep."
