The East Hampton Town Board discussed myriad topics related to Montauk, from boat slips to beach parking to traffic and drainage along Fort Pond.

The Whalers, a first-year entry in the Suffolk County High School Hockey League’s freshman division, routed Patchogue-Medford 11-1 Sunday night, plus winter track and Bonac hoops updates.

John Aldred will take over for Bill Taylor as a deputy clerk of the East Hampton Town Trustees, the group decided on Monday. Jim Grimes will continue as the other deputy clerk.

Andrey Trigubovich, named the new chief of East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue, has been a member of the group since 2009, and has served as a lieutenant and a first assistant chief. He takes over the top post from Barnaby Friedman, who served as chief for three terms.
