An East Hampton Town Police dispatcher confirmed Monday morning that officers are on scene in Montauk investigating multiple incidents of antisemitic hate-crime vandalism.

East Hampton Town Hall's meeting room was standing room only on Thursday afternoon, and despite intense community pressure that nearly brought the chairwoman of the town's architectural review board to tears, the board voted 3-to-1 to deny an application by Rowdy Hall to paint the façade of its new location on Amagansett's Main Street black.

The seventh-seeded West Islip Lions came in loaded for bear here Thursday afternoon, hoping that, somehow, they could upset the county Class AA tournament’s second seed, East Hampton. But, despite the fact that the visitors contested every ball, and pretty much matched the Bonackers when it came to corner kicks and free kicks, East Hampton emerged the winner, by 1-0, and will play third-seeded Huntington here Monday.

Lois Erdmann Wright, who had close relationships with Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale and her daughter, "Little Edie" of Grey Gardens fame, was "an intimate witness to the eccentricities of aristocracy," according to her family. Ms. Wright, an author and longtime LTV host, died of cardiopulmonary arrest and failure to thrive on Oct. 13 at the Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Southampton. A nearly lifelong resident of East Hampton, she was 95.
