Amazing Help

    East Hampton

    December 4, 2012

Dear Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the East Hampton and Springs community for their prayers, thoughts, and help during the recent passing of my sister Tara Loper Mansir. Tara was an amazing woman and the help we received during this difficult time was amazing.

Thank you Susie Roden and the Coalition for Women’s Cancers, Theresa and Abby Roden, Vickie Durand, Terry Hickey, and all the people of St. Luke’s Church, Yardley and Pino Funeral Home.

More Tasteful

    East Hampton

    November 29, 2012

Dear Mr. Rattray,

The Zoning Board recently granted John and Suzanne Cartier the right to keep their existing modest-size home and build a second home of similar proportions for their children and grandchildren on their larger-than-two-acre lot. The village board, however, believes a large-lot scenic easement does not allow two houses on the property and plans to take legal action against the Cartiers.

To the Editor,

Recently, we were able to secure our second consecutive Suffolk County Class A Championship. This achievement was part of a community effort and we are indebted for the cheers of support you provided us as we reached one of our goals.

To the Editor:

At any point in time, for whatever reason — a fall, a stroke, that scary pain in your chest that doesn’t go away, perhaps an automobile accident you hadn’t planned on, a boating accident, even the fishhook or knife incident gone astray, whatever — you do the 911 call, and within minutes the flashing light of an ambulance, the siren cutting the quiet air, and help is there.
