When the Bridgehampton winery Channing Daughters got inspired to work with what they had “at home” in the cellar, the outcome was a celebration of exceptional taste on the East End, in wine and in art.
"We've been here 26 years and nothing of this nature has ever happened," the business posted. "We were broken into, our Plexiglass barriers were smashed, our cash register broken open and destroyed."
While gyms remain closed due to the pandemic, an outdoor exercise emporium that offers workouts ranging from spin and dance classes to high-intensity interval training has popped up on the grounds of the East Hampton Indoor Tennis club.
The Whitney Museum may have had to cancel what would have been a major show of paintings by Agnes Pelton, who fashioned a Hayground windmill into a studio, but she gets her day in the form of Mari Coates's historical novel “The Pelton Papers.”
