There Will Be New Man on the Bench in Sag Harbor

In the absence of other contested races in the upcoming Sag Harbor Village elections, all eyes have turned to the race for Sag Harbor Village justice, which pits two attorneys against each other. Steven Tekulsky, at present an East Hampton Town justice and an associate Sag Village justice, is running against Carl Irace, a Sag Harbor resident with no formal judicial experience.

Black Coaches Are Celebrated at Bridgehampton Center

Seven Black South Fork basketball coaches, outstanding mentors from Bridgehampton, Southampton, and East Hampton, who, while growing up, were in turn mentored by outstanding coaches of a previous generation, were honored at the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center on Saturday for their “many efforts which have changed lives on and off the court.”

Gun Club Renewal on Hold

The lawsuit brought by several residents of Merchants Path in Wainscott against the Maidstone Gun Club continues to wind its way through Suffolk County Supreme Court, meaning that renewal negotiations on the club’s lease of town-owned land on Wainscott Northwest Road, which expires in October, are on hold.
