The Sag Harbor School Board on Monday approved end-of-year deposits into five of its reserve accounts, setting aside money for future expenses in the areas of technology and security, insurance, retirement benefits for teachers and other employees, and for facilities needs. Residents can expect a presentation on the school district’s potential plans for using the facilities money — nearly $5 million — during a June 26 school board meeting.

Surveillance camera footage helped police catch a man in a red truck who stole “Steven Tekulsky for Sag Harbor Justice” signs not far from the police station on Division Street in Sag Harbor on Saturday afternoon. He was charged with petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, low-level misdemeanors.

Tom Kochie of Sag Harbor, a prolific photographer on the South Fork, died on May 30 at North Shore University Hospital. He was 74.
