Fri, 11/21/2025 - 16:14
Ana Olivieri and Michael Derrig of Landscape Details presented the East Hampton Food Pantry with a $6,000 check this week to help defray the cost of providing Thanksgiving dinner for the pantry's over 1,000 clients. Accepting the donation are the pantry board secretary, Marguerite Davidowicz, and its operations manager, Paloma Bahi.

The East Hampton Food Pantry’s annual Harvest Food Drive happens on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the middle school. A team of volunteers will be collecting nonperishable food in front of the school, and high school students will be stationed across the street at Stop and Shop, encouraging shoppers to add needed items to their grocery lists.

At the same time, members of the Rotary Club will be at the I.G.A. on North Main Street, also collecting food donations for the pantry. Monetary donations can be made through the pantry’s website.

Paddle, Hike, and Bike Northwest

The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society will take on Northwest Woods by foot, bike, and kayak or paddleboard this weekend. Saturday brings two choices at 10 a.m.: a three-mile walk in the Grace Estate Preserve loop or a 25-mile bike ride from Cedar Point County Park. On Sunday, it’ll be an Alewife Brook and Cedar Point paddle.
