East Hampton Village beach parking permits, available for free to those who live or own property in the village, will be offered for sale to East Hampton Town residents who live or own outside of village boundaries on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., a week before they go on sale to the general public.

The in-person sale at the Emergency Services Building on Cedar Street also comes with a reduced price of $500 for the permits, which allow for parking from May 15 to Sept. 15 at beaches from Georgica in the west to Two Mile Hollow in the east.

There will be 1,500 available on Tuesday. Permit applications, which spell out the documentation required for the town-resident discount, are online at easthamptonvillage.org.

When the remaining 1,500 nonresident permits go on sale on Feb. 1 online or in person at Village Hall, they will cost $750.
