Health and Living Fair Coming Up in Bridgehampton

The Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center will hold a community health and living fair on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with free health screenings, workshops on how to afford housing, door prizes, and activities for kids.

You can also learn about medical insurance, job opportunities, English as a second language, and banking. Representatives of more than 15 organizations will be on hand.

Brunch-style food will be served. Advance registration can be done via this Eventbrite page. Questions can be directed to [email protected] or 631-537-0616.

Item of the Week: A Snow-Covered Gunster House

The Joseph F. Gunster House, also known as the T.W. Morris House, on Hither Lane near Amy’s Lane, appears here covered in snow, off a snowy road. While the photograph is uncredited and undated, Gunster (1894-1979) and his wife, Ruth Harris Work Gunster, who was known as Harriette, owned the house for almost 21 years, between August 1943 and 1964.
