Police Department Is Hiring Dispatchers

The East Hampton Town Police Department has announced that it is accepting applications for the Civil Service position of public safety dispatcher. Applications are due by March 22.

The salary ranges from $55,735 to $100,466 and the position comes with medical benefits, 28 vacation days plus paid sick time and personal days, and other perks. A college degree is not mandatory for candidates, but local residency by the time of appointment is required.

Candidates will ultimately have to take the Suffolk County public safety dispatcher exam, which will be given next on April 29.
