Southampton Town Beach Permits on Sale Online

Wed, 03/03/2021 - 07:07

Southampton Town residents can now buy beach permits online, the town announced this week, allowing them to bypass the Parks and Recreation Department line and have a contactless and paperless transaction.

The online preseason sale starts Wednesday and is accessible at southamptontownny.gov/beachpermits. It will run through May 15. Permits will be mailed that day for those who submit complete and correct documentation by May 1. Permit applications received after May 15 may take four to six weeks to be processed.

Residents can still buy permits in-person at a walk-up window at the Parks and Recreation Department at 6 Newtown Road in Hampton Bays. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning April 6. Permits will also be sold at attended beach kiosks starting May 29. More information can be had by calling 631-728-8585 during regular business hours.
