Wanted: Ambitious do-it-yourselfer willing to bring an old boat back to life.

East Hampton Town is auctioning off a 1981 Key West Expedition II fishing boat, a 45-foot vessel that was abandoned in Montauk during a tropical storm in August.

The town reports that there is "oil in the bilge compartment under the engines," but "no visible signs of any major structural issues." Its exact operating condition is unknown.

The public auction, accessible at this link, went live on Monday and will close on Nov. 8 at 7:45 p.m. The winning bidder will be expected to pay in full by Nov. 10 at 1 p.m., and must pick up the boat by Nov. 12 at 2 p.m.
