Hike to the Haul-Out

Fri, 12/04/2020 - 09:49
Seals are a common sight on the East End.
Jane Bimson

The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society will host a three-mile hike in Montauk to the seal haul-out trail on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The hike is an easy one along a wooded trail to the shores of Block Island Sound and the rocks where the seals haul out. It is suggested that people dress warmly, wear sturdy shoes, and take binoculars.

Face masks are required. The meeting place is along Camp Hero Road approximately a mile east of Deep Hollow Ranch. Eva Moore will lead and can be called at 631-238-5134 or 631-681-4774 on the day of the hike.
